Hey Yall,

I'm out in WA state and I plan on doing weekender trips/offroading, nothing too crazy, but I would like to get to some good camping spots that don't require 35" tires etc. I'll be driving on pavement 85% of the time and so I decided on BFG ko2's.

But now I need to pick out a leveling kit. I've narrowed it down to fox 2.0 and icon stage 1 kit, both will allow me to level the front to about 2.25-2.5" of lift. But I can't seem to find much of a difference between these two other than cost. Anyone have any recommendations and or things to look out for? Is there any reason I should legitimately look into the 2.5's w/ the remote reservoir etc?

Thank you,
JreL

I have the Fox 2.0 tuned by FP. I have not been disappointed. That being said when I did my research I remember people saying Fox is softer and icon is stiffer. If I remember correctly icon's system allows you to upgrade to the next stage without having to buy all new stuff.

If you're going to be spending a long amount of time off-road, have lots of weight, or wanted to take harder hits at higher speeds then I would upgrade to 2.5s w/ remote reservoirs.

the trucks a daily driver (although im a remote worker) i dont plan on going crazy overlandish with a rooftop tent. Plus i need the bed for mountain biking and general house work (dumpster runs, gravel etc). So weight wise im good, but i like the idea of icon being able to be easily upgrade without having to replace everything i might look more into that thank you.

As Andrew mentioned Fox is on the Softer side compared to Icon. Have i ran either of them? No but to my understanding it is hard to go wrong with Fox. What do I run? I run OME by ARB and i like it!! The front is lifted by 2.4 and the rear by 1.6 with 265/70-17's and it does well both on and offroad. They are also priced close to the Fox. That would be a good option to consider as well.

I also have the Fox 2.0/FPP setup and really like it. I prefer a softer calibration on my trucks since I tend to do more crawling type off-road activities rather than desert running. The Fox kit is nice and compliant off road at low speeds and is very stable and comfortable on road. I'd recommend it for sure.

If you plan to do more high speed off road work you may want the stiffer Icon setup, the stiffer spring and damper rates will likely do a better job of keeping you off the bump stops than the Fox setup.

For what you will be doing just get what cost less and is available. Both are performers. Most icon stuff I have seen is 2 months out.
