Of those 300,000,000 gun owners only about 3 million would be willing and are prepared to resist. That's the problem.
Probably way less than that. Most of the guns are owned by FUDDs that don't concern themselves too much since right now their grandpas hunting shotgun isn't on the list. A lot will talk tough "you ain't getting my guns" and "from my cold dead hands" etc. But when faced with a no knock police raid from a red flag call they will quickly fold. No one wants their home to be the next Ruby Ridge or Waco compound.

So I have my buried shipping container bug-out shelter somewhere in the woods of Live Free or Die New Hampshire and have stockpiled gas stoves. And I'm trying to figure out how to stockpile eggs ... and rotten eggs leads me to this next topic ...

I now have to add washing machines to my supplies!

I just bought a brand new set of Speed Queens. Well worth the $3k price tag for the set.

Will be sad to see them crushed and sent to China to be turned into washboards ?

Idk I think you're underestimating the amount that would stand up and fight. There's a huge silent majority out there and if the SHTF and they ever tried to impose an all out gun ban I think many would stand up and fight. There's always going to be those who roll over and stick their tail between their legs but most Americans love their guns and their freedom. My feeling is I'd rather fight and die than live in a communist dictatorship. :flag:

My Maytag senses how much clothes are in there and only adds as much water as is needed.
But this SVB thing smells to high heaven. Why would the government find the need to instantly bail it out, and go in front of America claiming all is cool, don't worry about it? He's bailing out his buddies and those funding his '20 campaign. And yes, we the tax payers ARE paying for it.

This is probably just a distraction to change the subject from the banking bailout.

I hope I am wrong. But the huge silent majority isn't as huge as some think. There won't be an all out gun ban, at least not soon. The gun grabbers know that won't work in USA. It didn't work in NZ after the shooting there, only 11% legally turned in guns once it started there. Put a frog in boiling water, it jumps out. Put the frog in cold water and slowly turn up the heat, it stays and doesn't realize it's screwed.

They will slowly get rid of guns through red flag laws, excessive taxation, excessive background checks, excessive taxation on ammo, taxation on ammo making components, checks to purchase ammo. Every one of those things has happened and been allowed in courts and will continue to get worse. Both democrats and republicans have signed off on red flag laws. You lose all your guns immediately on and flag call and you have the burden to prove you are fit to have firearms, not the city or state. Several legal gun owners have died do to those laws already and many more have lost guns.

Police and even military have proved more than once that that will just "follow orders" if they need to seize guns. That's not even counting the non-citizen police they are hiring that have no ties here. Once an area (city, state, etc) has removed enough then they can propose a gun ban. They target certain types of guns first, then add more, then more until there is nothing to add. Read some of the legislation banning "assault" rifles. They now include basically every long arm.

Sadly this country is pushing and slowly turning into a socialist one.

Soon I will be cooking over a campfire, washing clothes in the stream and sleeping in my ice vehicle with no fuel to move it. I've roughed it before and can handle it, but what about the younger generation that is protesting in the streets to push this agenda. Boy are they in for a big surprise or maybe their ebikes will put an end to their suffering when they explode. Guns are next.
Maybe, but Greta may come after that too.

It's like "2 weeks to flatten the curve".

Maybe gun control is what it's all about

There are 110 confirmed gun owners in the US Congress, and probably more, as the majority didn't respond to the Pew poll. If an outright gun ban bill was ever proposed, we have recourse through the recall election process.
I think one of the legitimate reasons the US has never had a war fought on our own soil since the Civil War is we have 393 million guns amongst the 331 million citizens; about 1.2 small arms for every man, woman and child. That compares with 298 million vehicles registered in the US.
