Hi John, Yes and no. You can register and see your vehicle info if you go to https://owner.ford.com. Once you register and add your vehicle you'll be able to see your Ford Pass Points and stuff like Vehicle Health Alerts and Info. You won't be able to remote start or lock/unlock your truck unless you have a smartphone or tablet.

I spent some time talking to FordPass this morning.

It would appear that there is no way to activate the 42,000 points that you get for buying a new vehicle without activating the modem in the truck.

You can't activate the modem without a smart phone.

I sent an email to Customer Service to see if there is a work around.

The solution is run an Android simulator on your PC. This sets up a virtual android device and operating system on your PC. You load the FordPass app on the simulator and register like it was a smart phone with a really big screen.
I have not done any of this myself but are aware of this from using android devices as a GPS navigation system on my off road motorcycles. Some folks use the android simulator running the GPS app for trip planning.
For Windows PC some folks are using the Android emulator Memu.
For Mac OS the emulator is called Blue Stacks.
A google search should get you started in the right direction.
Please keep your thread updated on your progress. I'm sure you're not the only person struggling with this.

I have used Bluestacks App player in the past sucessfully to run Android apps on a PC. I would look at that to run the Ford Pass App on a PC to activate your modem.

Could you get a friend or relative to download the app on their phone for you and do it that way?

Also, where do you find these points? Maybe it’s not in Canada?

Upon further review... never mind.

I just spent the last hour reading through the terms and conditions of FordPass. It's basically Alexa in your vehicle..... a way for Ford to keep track of everywhere you go, your driving habits and everything you are doing as it relates to your vehicle.

And they get you to give away all this personal information by giving you "Rewards".

Not sure if this will work in Canada but try going into Ford online. Here we can see our points and do almost everything you can on the app except remote start,lock and unlock.

I’m having issues with FordPass, it keeps coming up “authorization pending”.

mine reverted to miles and i cant change it back to km

Mine did the same. You can change it in the settings back to I’m but the next day it will go back to miles.
