Ford Performance Tune - just installed, very pleased!

To me, "S" mode doesn't have nearly the same effect as before the tune.

I dunno, i still need S mode time to time with the same tune... although i'm thinking the issue for me might be more that I need an intercooler... truck seems a touch sluggish with the summer heat here in Northern New Mexico, and the elevation certainly doesn't help... we got some cooler weather finally the other day and it felt a lot spunkier off the line

I've dealt with Levittown in the past and have been happy with them, and would prefer to buy with them but cant stomach that price...

My FPT gets installed on Monday!!

I bought the FPT a week or so ago from Levittown Ford.....I called my local dealer who said they couldn't install it, even though another SA had told me before they could/would. I didn't feel like arguing with the young lady on the phone, so I scheduled with another local mechanic.

I have 57K miles on mine. I've had both phases of the TSB transmission repairs completed and I also had the DPFE sensor/assembly replaced....plus I had a fuel injection cleaning done at my last service.

Long story short, I hate the shifting and the occasional throttle hesitation. I'm hoping the FPT resolves my frustrations....from what I've read, I'm pretty confident it will. I'll definitely report back with my thoughts after the install!

The Ford Performance tune helped a lot, the hesitation and shifting was fixed for me.

Since you're well out of warranty for the tune (only good for the first 36k) , i'd save yourself some money and just install it yourself. Its very simple, and just takes maybe an hour total? Most of that time is spent backing up the factory tune.

Got my truck back with the tune installed. I haven't driven it much (about 30 minutes), but shifting is definitely improved and it has the perfect amount of extra ass when you stomp it!! It didn't instantly transform into a race car, but it's definitely a nice, smooth extra kick.
