Hey guys,

quick question, when you scroll through your truck settings to your fuel economy MPG / L/100km settings, what are they basing these numbers off? Your trucks total miles/kms?

I went from hanging around the 10.0L/100km range for a couple months while I was strictly driving highway but since I've added some city driving in the mix, it's quickly dropped to 10.6+L/100km.. would that be considered normal?

Summer time when I’m commuting to the cottage on weekends I get around 10.4L/100km.
This time of year with studded tires and almost exclusively city driving I’m at 11.2L/100km and climbing.
Yes, I’d consider it normal.

As far as I can see, numbers are based on total mileage.
(Work van can reset fuel economy, I’ve not found that ability in the Ranger settings. Others may educate me.)

In one of the menu's there's a screen of 4 icons.
it has an average fuel mileage, which is counting since the last reset.
and there's another that's monitoring real time.
this is the one i use because it makes me look like i know things.

I wouldn't consider the real time one as super accurate, but you can see it constantly moving. it's likely monitoring a number of parameter's and if any change it changes. Temp, fuel flow, your octane rating and whther or not you run a TG Damper...blah blah blah.....lots of factors.

I try and reset mine after every oil change to be more related to my current driving, but theres nothing wrong with resetting it every tank fill, weekly, or whatever. the more often you reset it, the more it reflects your driving now....not months ago.

its your mileage to monitor...
The real time one where you can see it move is always synced up with the screen with the bars, so the bar one would be real time as well? Also, do you know what each bar represents? I think I heard before that each bar = 5 minutes of driving, any idea?

Thank you
