Ford Inventory Search Tool is Worthless.

Apparently, Ford wants to tell me what and where to buy. Apperently, it's designed to kiss dealers rears. What a mess. It Doesn't even have FX2 in there vehicle package search options yet, already been out for 7 months. Stupid vehicle locator always defaults to 20 miles when you make ANY change, only 'lets' you search 100 miles out, and populates with whatever Ford thinks you ought to buy, Instead of what you want. It's worse then worthless. I used Autotrader's search feature to find one with the features i want, IN THE COLOR I WANT~!!!@!!!.

I agree! I've tried using this tool so many times and it's horrible.

But, I can see why Ford does that. Maybe the blue Ranger you want isn't in stock with the options you want, but how about this other one? It's close enough, right? Go check it out and see what you think.

I had one dealer do exactly this.

I had already checked and knew they didn't have what I was looking for. I contacted them to see if they could find it.

I specified by email the 10 items I wanted on a 2020 SuperCab. Their email reply stated, "...we have a 2019 in stock configured exactly the way you specified". Their "exact" match 2019 SuperCrew included 5 out of the 10 items I had specified.

Not a 2020. Not a SuperCab. No 501A pkg. No Sport Appearance pkg. No Spray-in bedliner.

I told them that was 50% - Thank you - Goodbye.

I won't tolerate sales people trying to convince me that what I want to buy is exactly what they have.

More than three months later, several sales people and sales managers from that dealer are STILL pounding out calls, voice messages, and emails with the same crap.

People have reported them to the BBB.

In your browser URL . . . change Radius=20 to Radius=500 then hit ENTER.
500 is the max.

What irritates me is: no checkbox for locking rear end (except for FX4 package). I wanna 2x4, really.

The dealer inventory search is difficult because you have to keep pulling up the window sticker to see all the options.
