With all the 10R80 transmission issues on this forum and three years ownership coming up in May '25, I'm considering the Ford PremiumCare extended warranty. I see Petrie Ford in Ontario has a website claiming the lowest price in Canada. I just sent them my VIN so waiting to hear back. After that I'll phone the local dealer where I bought the truck for a price quote. Any experience or comments appreciated.

It is my understanding you can also purchase in the US, and it's a lot cheaper, do a search on this site.

100,000 miles for 2070 usd = 2960 CAD.

This is what I was quoted by Ca dealer,
The longest term is an 8 year. Option one the kms would be 150,000

150,000would be $7215. 150k is close to 100k miles, so a considerable saving, and the price doesn't change if you put it on when new or before warranty goes away.

Here is an update with screenshots from the Petrie Ford emails-

She chose this based on the very low odometer reading - Average so far of only 5,000 km per year so 80,000 km should be fine. More time and distance can be added before the warranty expires in 2030. I only use the Ranger for camping trips. (I own other vehicles). I realize the 80K plan would not be enough for most drivers.

That's a big increase!

No payment plan, Petrie Ford wants payment in full.
----

With this info I then phoned Ford Protect expecting a higher price. It was actually a bit lower.

8 years, 80,000 km. PremiumCare warranty including key and fob coverage and LED lights.

$2910 plus GST.

0% financing option.
10% down.
30 monthly payments.
Pay off early, no penalty

interesting.... on may 15/2023 I purchased an 8 yr/80000 klm. premium care extended warranty with no deductible for $3500 plus tax from my local ford dealer. at that time I only had 36000 klms on the truck but I was 1 week away from the 3 year bumper to bumper. that price they gave you sounds like a good deal and cheaper than mine. I purchased my truck new in may of 2020.
