I have a black scab with black Leer 100XR. It looks fine but if I had any other color truck I'd still get a black cap. Some contrast looks good versus the monotone SUV look if both are cactus gray as in your case
Being curious, I asked Canada Drives (a CDN auto buyer) for a price on my 22 XLT FX4 scab and was offered $41,500 cash and they'd pick it up. Thats $3,000 mor than i paid for it new in 05/22, not including tax.
Agreed.. I was shocked at the difference. In '21 I decided to order a new mid-size truck before the expected prices increased. The truck that appealed to me the most was a 22 Tacoma access cab TRD Off Road... until I test drove one! Felt like a '92 truck for a '22 price. Noisy, uncomfortable...
Too bad the gloss black XL wheels aren't offered for the XLT 300A. I have the silver XLT wheels and am not a fan of that look. Guess a spray can of gloss black Tremclad will fix that!

True, my tires were at 45psi. Spec is 35. Also check wheel nut torque, mine were all loose a half turn. Use a quality torque wrench and look up specs for your vehicle. Use the lockout feature to avoid high gears. It works great. Read Transmision section in the owners manual
So which all-terrain tire throws the least amount of rocks in your experience? I want to replace the stock Kooks on my 22 FX4 with winter-rated AT's. I have a set of Cooper AT3 on my other truck and they do not pick up stones but want to try another brand. My daughter has BFG K02 on her 98 XJ...
It's an old thread but a good one by Phil. I'm waiting for a 22 Scab FX4 ordered last November... should arrive soon I'm told. My previous Ranger was a new 08 FX4 with a 5-speed manual, 4l. That was a great little truck including some light off-road use. Wish the new Rangers also had a manual...

I ordered a '22 Ranger XLT Scab, FX4 with tow package on Nov 24, 2021. The build date is April 4. It'll take weeks for delivery according to the salesman. I'm on the west coast, in BC.
