Hi All,

Can anyone help with the bed dimensions of a USA ranger with a 6ft bed?

I am interested in importing a Lomax hard folding bed cover from the USA to Australia and I am not sure if it will fit?

One of the problems with measuring is the Aussie rangers don't have bed rail caps(I will need to buy some) so my measurements are from the bare steel of the bed.I am not sure how much to allow for the thickness of the bed rail caps?

I have a 2018 Supercab XLT.

Both measurements are taken at the tailgate end on the bed.

Inside width at top of the bed I have : 59 1/2 inches

Inside Length at the top of the bed I have 70 1/2 inches:

Also does the tailgate profile look the same? The USA Ranger looks like it might be curved but it may just be your tailgate cap?

Whole bed:

This the whole car. Mods so far : Bullbar, winch, under body armour, long range fuel tank, 275/70/17 tyres, rock sliders and 23zero awning and ensuite.

This might help you out a little. Just ignore the highlighted figures. I'm digging for more...

Oh yeah, OP...
...I really dig your truck! My Ranger is "Aussie inspired", right here in the good ol' USA! I think my next big purchase is an Aussie style radio "aerial" that I found here in the USA that's compatible with our radio systems (CB and GRMS frequencies).

Thanks Glocker for the info.
Yeah I have seen those measurements before and just find them confusing.

W204 is the same as mine.
L506 (cargo body length at top) ..Why did they stop at the taillight?? and what is Belt?
All the floor measurements are out due to my plastic liner so can't confirm those.

Hopefully someone on the forum with the 6ft bed can measure the same areas as I did in my pics so I can get some real world measurements.

I learned from mistake, bought a US spec Bakflip MX4 for my Global T6 Ranger and it was shorter and narrower. I still have it lying around in my garage since sending it back was too expensive.

Hi Galion,
Yes after a lot of digging I worked out the rails are different on the USA Ranger so it is narrower than the AU Ranger.

But I thought the length was the same. Can you recall how much shorter it was?

I have decided to fab up my own Bed rails which will make the Bed the same width as the USA version.

Can anyone help with an inside measurement on the length of the 6ft bed??

I've got 70 1/2 inches (without a tailgate cap)

The US spec Bakflip is 3.50 cm shorter than the Global T6 Bakflip.
UnderCover Ultraflex P/N UX22015 and Bakflip MX4 P/N 448318 will fit. Both NON USDM Ranger T6 2012+ Covers.
I ended up ordering the right model for my double cab

Thanks Galion.

Do you have any pics of your cover?
Does it sit directly on top of the bed rails or is it set in like the USA version allowing a rack to be run on the outside?

There are 4.50cms left between the cover and the outer edge of the rails.

Thanks mate.
Yeah it doesn't look like enough room to run a rack , I'll order a US cover and make my own rails and rack.
