They must have HUGE incentives to the local municipalities to get them to buy these things.
Probably huge campaign donations and lobbying.

Every month. They are owned by a private company and we supposedly pay $1500.00 a month for access to the information for each one in service. Not just plate recognition either. Facial recognition and listen to Every conversation in range. Wonder how much information they sell/leak to China. Scary to have a private company in the business of collecting and selling information like this.
Just a little less, or more, than your phone and Google, and probably this site.

What the Gov can't do constitutionally, they outsource to companies that are not restrained by that pesky document, or have another country do it and get the info through the back door (5 eyes).

Hi! I'm from the gov, and I'm here to help!

For those who want to know more about our overlords.

5 Eyes

Nine Eyes

The Nine Eyes is a different group that consists of the Five Eyes members as well as Denmark, France, the Netherlands, and Norway

Fourteen Eyes

According to a document leaked by Edward Snowden, there is another working agreement among 14 nations officially known as "SIGINT Seniors Europe", or "SSEUR".[119] This "14 Eyes" group consists of the Nine Eyes members plus Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Sweden

There are now actually 41 eyes.

If you use a VPN, set it to the Bahamas and use a vendor that runs everything on RAMdisks.

Privacy in the Bahamas
    • The Bahamas is outside the 5 Eyes, 9 Eyes, and 14 Eyes networks.
    • It is often chosen as a privacy-friendly location for companies and digital services because it lacks mandatory data retention laws tied to these foreign surveillance agreements
I feel so much safer.

Is like all the non-elected officials making rules and laws: FDA, FTC, EPA, NFA, etc.

They have popped up here in Central NC, like wild flowers. I am seeing them everywhere now. There going up over night here! Was 2 or three, now far more! I'm not happy about it.
