We used this for years hauling an aluminum boat for work (in a Silverado). This thing was easily worth the price. It was nice being able to throw a boat in the bed, access difficult to reach places, and not worry about trailer issues on longer trips (i.e., tire wear/flats, parking at hotels, drive-thru, etc.) We fashions some 2x4 slides to help with loading and launching.
