So this video was posted in another thread by @Quatakai about having a squeaky brake pedal.

Mine does it too and not having time to take it in I decided to take a look.

Well..

It's the pivot point grommet. At least mine was. If you start the truck, and lay down on the floor and put your fingertips on the pedal arm at the brake light switch then press it down as well as towards the kick panel and you will feel the arm vibrate slightly. Continue this on the rod as well as further up to the pivot point. The strongest point of vibration was just below the pivot point. So I tagged the it with some silicone lubricant spray (locations shown in pic) and pressed the pedal a few times. It worked like a charm, no more squeaky pedal!

You have to be a near contortionist to get up there with the spray can (better if you have one with a flex hose). You can also open the lower fuse panel cover and get an ok view of the pivot point to aim the spray. It doesn't take much, just a tiny little spritz right between the bracket and pivot on each side.

Sprayed mine today. Less than 200 miles on my new 2019 Ranger and the noise from the brake pedal was driving me nuts. Thanks

This actually came back and I'd like to update.

My squeak returned and sounded again about as bad as the video I posted. Ford said that they would look at it, and it looks like based off of their report that they took the entire pedal assembly out and lubed up some bushings that weren't lubed properly.

Probably could have done this myself but it didn't take long for them to do, and it's been just over a month and no squeaks.

Sucks that it came back. What kind of lubricant did you use?

Interesting that they removed the pedal assembly. That seems like an awful lot of work to lube a bushing. Glad they got it worked out for you.

I used WD-40 Specialist Silicone lubricant when I did this on mine. It wasn't easy to get the spray tube in the right spot, but thankfully WD-40 puts a really nice valve on their cans so you can dispense just a little bit. It's been almost 2 months since doing this and it's still perfectly silent.

Yeah I used the same stuff, maybe I didn't get it in the right spot.

Possibly, it was a chore but I tried to get the lubricant at the top of the bushing on either side of the mount. Then worked the pedal a bunch of times to work it in. Then repeated that a couple more times to get good penetration into the bushing.

My 2021 brake pedal squeaked like this, off and on. It was worse when I was in the drier climate east of the Oregon Cascades. I never noticed it on the west (damp) side of the state.

Following the excellent picture above, I sprayed white lithium grease on the two pivot bushings. The squeak is gone. I was not able to get to the top of the bushing, only the bottom. If it comes back, I'll try harder to lube the top, and/or do as Phil suggests and use a polyethylene type of lubericant, or just let the dealer fix it.

Mine is holding strong after 8 months and 6,000 miles, after the above lubrication :)
