Filled up with E85

E85=Bad for the 2.3. Might try to drain/siphon as much as you can out and refill with premium 91/93 octane.
Only the "other world" Rangers with the 3.0 are able to use the E85....their flex-fuel engines.

If your car isn't a flex-fuel vehicle and you mistakenly add E85 to your tank, you may notice reduced performance and gas mileage. Your check engine light may also appear, but the mishap likely won't damage the engine. They recommend topping the tank off with regular gasoline several times. When all the E85 has cycled through the engine, the check engine light should turn off.

Yeah, like Figarou posted, top up and use premium.

Just stay out of heavy throttle. E85 isn't going to hurt anything unless you run out of fuel system capability, which isn't likely unless you are ragging on it. I'd run about 1/2 of a tank out and see if you can find some Ethanol free.

I would pump as much as you can out of it and then fill it with E-0.
The catalytic converter and other stuff could be damaged by prolonged running on E85, and possibly void the warranty

Premium baby!!! No ethanol. I had a boss do the same thing in Germany with diesel for a quarter tank. Put the highest octane in it and run it out. I would also do an oil change sooner than you planned.

So I ran it for about a 1/4 tank then put 93 in it. Check engine is on but she’s running well. I’ll run it half way down in the morning then fill back up with 93

Check engine light is more than likely upstream O2 bank stuck lean. The ECU is having to add fuel to reach the lower stoich point of E85. I believe it will clear itself within a few drive cycles after your fuel mixture falls back into range of what the ECU deems acceptable.

Just drive it very easy and top it off with regular frequently. It will be fine I did the same. The check engine light will stop tripping once you get the mix below an e50 ratio.

Agreed drive it easy if possible an top it off. If you have access to "boat gas" it's ethanal free. We have a few places around here that sell it. Premium is not necessarily ethanol free, it isn't where I live. The only ethanal free is the stuff advertised as ethanal free an it's 90 octane at the few places that sell it. This is what I buy for my small engines that don't get frequent use.
