Similar setup. Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/70/17
Rough Country 2.5" Leveling Kit
1.5" 93.1cm Hubcentric Wheel Adapters

I'll be putting Raptor-style grill on when it arrives this week.

With the wider stance, I did have to do some mod to the crash bar & small amount of trimming but I like the wider look. View attachment 15229 View attachment 15230 View attachment 15232

Any reason why you went with 1.5” spacers over 0.25”?

I wanted the wider stance as I'm leaning towards adding the Bushwacker Fender Flares in the near future...I'm sill debating this.

Just personal preference on look

Bad news: I’ve got rubbing coming from the front left tire/wheel well when making a left turn, especially at an incline or decline. What’s interesting is that I’ve got about 2” of clearance between the tire and the flat crash bar in the front right wheel well. Comparatively, I’ve got about 1” in the front left wheel well. I’ve owned the truck since new, no accidents no dings. Doubtful Ford would care since it’s a problem created by aftermarket parts. Disappointed but still searching for an answer.

@Asu4040 BDS came out with a slim intrusion kit $80, fixes the problem easy peasy. So much more clearance! Still waiting on getting my kit, but install looks pretty easy with their PDF guide. You will need a saws all or angle grinder to cut the front one out, but uses factor hardware to install the aftermarket ones.

I honestly struggle imaging what good these bars actually do, I can't imagine what safety you'd be missing out by removing them all together, which I've read some users have done..

From what I've read the bars have quite a bit of slop in them. Loosen the bolts and see if you can adjust for more clearance. I was going to do that when I trimmed mine but couldn't get the first bolt loose. Turns out the nut is captive on the frame so I never would have gotten it loose.....

So what happens when you air down a bit? Are you going to rub on the knuckle with the extra tire flex? I too like to stock wheels and think they look good with bigger tires, but I am concerned with rubbing while aired down a bit.

This is why I am sticking to 265s. Tall 245s are honestly good enough, 265s that come on the FX4 are plenty wide, wider to 285 isn't as valuable as the added tire height to get more frame clearance.

That being said, @Sean C @Brad David your trucks look badass!!

I've thought the same thing. I've considered that the KO2 in 255/75r17 might be a good way to go for me

I can't speak for everyone, but I've been offroad, loaded down, aired down, etc AND I HAVE HAD NO RUBBING.

What he said, you can see a gap behind the bar on one side and none on the other, loosen them up and see what happens
