My lease was up in October and I purchased my Ranger XLT FX4 with the Technology package. I like the truck, there were no 5G trucks around anywhere and I was over my allotted 19,500 miles per year by about 8,00 miles. So it made sense to me to purchase it. Oh and BTW the engine was replaced at 59,000 miles after a valve keeper stopped keeping......so I was buying a used truck with a new motor.

Anyway with some of the issues with the transmission and other possible expensive repairs that may rear their ugly head I decided to shop for an Extended warranty at 74,000 miles. I thought I'd post about this because I think a lot of owners are not aware that such a thing is available for a truck with that many miles. Not an aftermarket warranty but a genuine Ford ESP Warranty. I was able to obtain another 60,000 miles of coverage for around $2,000. That will get me to 134,000 miles. The plan has a $200 deductible and is the Premium Care version that covers most of the truck. Powertrain only coverage is available for a lot less. Payments can be made monthly with 0 interest.
I purchased the plan online from Lombard Ford. The only requirement was an inspection that was a walk around and a 5 minute test drive with me at the wheel.

I thought the ESP warranties were not available if the vehicle is over 41 months?

I thought that too.....but not true. Check out their website you can price different levels of protection and different deductibles. Once they have your email they will probably offer a discount on their already vg rates.....and they have regular "holiday sales".

Yep, I did the same. I haven’t had any issues and have about 40k on my (new to me) ‘19 and picked up another 72 month/75k Ford ESP. I went $100 deductible, if used more than 1 time it pays for the deductible difference. Never used the one on my ZR2 but was about to for a common dash led failure

Read the contract carefully. Most ESPs start at day 0, mile 0 of the truck, not the day/milage you purchased/leased the vehicle.
Different plans for new/with warranty and used without

No 60K additional from date of purchase. Walk through the process online as I suggested.

This was the maximum that was available in my case 60K miles 36 months. I'll get to 134K miles before the 36 months are up.
If you are just worried about your transmission or other powertrain issues you can get your warranty extended for way less than what 1 repair might cost. And you can pay it monthly with no interest charge. Pretty tough to beat. I went with premium care because I'm splitting the cost with my business, so it's costing me $1100......a no brainier.

5 Years of additional coverage for your 2019 Ranger with a $100 deductible, not including the discount that you'll get if you provide your email to get a code. $200 deductible would be less, obviously.

Yep, Ford Premium care esp. Used truck plans go from 1 yr/10k miles to 6 yr/75k miles which is what I went with
