I would either want one with a deep base throaty exhaust or stay stock and quiet. Don't want mine sounding like a slot car with a headcold.

I haven't seen any take off's of used after market cat back systems here for sale yet so maybe that's a good thing.

Just ordered the AFE Apollo GT no res/no muffler, I have the AFE 3” down pipe and 5 Star Tune... I guess I’ll see how loud it is... Is anyone else running a down pipe with no muffler and resinator?

No, but i've been looking for examples of turboback exhaust systems for the ranger, if you can do some sound clips i'd appreciate it.

I installed the Apollo GT today after reading about how restrictive our factory mufflers are. Its 3 inch piping and deletes the muffler and the resonator. It is definitely loud. Not sure how long it'll be before a better flow muffler is added. I will try to post a video on here soon.

**Update for previous post**
Well, the Apollo GT lasted a whole day before I order a Magnaflow muffler part #12249. It is a straight through design with the body being 18 inches in length. I do believe the truck runs alot smoother without the restriction of the factory setup that is especially noticeable at idle. The exhaust is definitely on the louder side (which is expected), I just feel the truck is too new/less comfortable with the setup. It was worth a shot and still ahead of the game on pricing due to finding a sale on the Apollo setup. Will post an update when it's installed!

I just installed this on my truck and let me tell you it is Loud! Cold startup is obnoxious, and anything above 3k RPM is as well.
