evcX Throttle controller vs others

I’m specifically interested on a comparison with other products e.g. Pedal Commander. Need recommendations specifically for off-road overlanding applications. Thanks.

Save the money on the silly pedal box and instead spend it on recovery gear.

They all do the exact same thing. It's a box that makes your ECU think the pedal is pushed down further(or less) than it actually is. I can't see any practical use for such a device while off roading. Your right foot is all the pedal commander you need.

I had a PC on my last two Jeeps. It made a much bigger difference on my manual 2 door JK that was on 35” tires than it did on my stock auto 4 door JL. That being said I still liked the technology. To some extent, yes your foot adjusts the throttle but the device made the driving experience for me more enjoyable.

I think on the JK I kept it at sport 4 and JL city 2 if that gives you any indication on how different they felt on each application and vehicle.

If i can pick up a Banks Pedal Monster cheap enough, that’s the next one I want to try out.
