Curious what the diameter of the cold side hard pipe is?

That sounds odd but we'll see once you get the hardware sorted out. Most aftermarket IC tubes advertise 20-something percent more flow in the hot side and the high teens in the cold side. I don't know what those dimensions will produce but more flow on the cold side will make for some perceived power loss. I say this only because I drove my truck for a week with just the cold side Mishimoto pipe replacing the factory one and power felt down - although my gas mileage went up.

Installed the ESP intercooler pipes here are some pics, had to make my own plastic fitting for the vent tube at the throttle body other than that it was an easy swap.

As much as I want this for my truck I'm not crazy about that cold side. It's probably fine if I were going from stock but the transitions in size have me questioning how this will affect efficiency.

I'm really on the fence about moving forward, I'd be willing to spend the difference for the Mishimoto IC to match the Mishi charge pipes just because the R&D has been done.

After a few days of driving with the new intercooler pipes I can say that there is a performance benefit in the mid to upper rpm range, I will also be installing a throttle body spacer this weekend, I will let you now if I run into any fitment issues .

I feel that when I replaced the restrictive stock intercooler charge pipes it felt like the same changes uou describe to performance. My goal with upgrading the intercooler was to even out the performance by reducing heat soak in stop and go street driving.

I may just get the ESP pipes and see if they will mate with the Mishi throttle body connection since it seems the diameter is the same - the throttle body-to-hard pipe looks like it will without changing the flow so much. If I'm unhappy I can always sell the whole thing for at least what I have in it and put it towards the Mishi intercooler.

What are your goals with the spacer? I'm unfamiliar with the reasons to lengthen the air runner.

I needed a vacuum port behind the throttle body for my Methanol system, seemed the easiest way to do it was to add the TB spacer, spacer fit perfectly with no cutting involved.

I emailed Jimmy and he responded he'd been ill and behind on tending to emails. Said he was unaware of Patrick's ( @MY23RANGER ) issue with the incorrect vacuum connection on the cold side.

I believe Patrick is communicating with him and if indeed this is another thing that has to be 'fixed' it will delay things for sure.

Honestly this is taking way too long to get this fixed. What ever happened to the wheel spacers that was supposed to be a drawing and the down pipe?
how many of you are still sitting on this?

I would suggest contacting Jimmy directly.

I wasn't interested in wheel spacers or the downpipe so I wasn't focused on the giveaways. The intercooler itself wasn't an absolute must have right away but the sale price made the upgrade super attractive. The IC itself looks really well made with very clean welds. The construction is the same design as pretty much any other performance unit.

But in the end I didn't want to move off the Mishimoto charge pipes after spending what I did - although ESP's solution is essentially the same dimensions, just a little different connection. I think the last change would be the correct vacuum connection on the cold side charge pipe he's making. If I didn't already have upgraded my charge pipes what this would have cost in spite of the nine months to resolve it would make me happy.

In the end I returned mine and got refunded.

That's exactly why I jumped ship immediately. There was no actual date for a fix of the original problem of wrong sized connections I sent mine back to get my refund the day after it arrived. And the spacer raffle that never occurred smh.... I was excited but lost confidence quickly and went with CVF.

I noticed the link from the first page no longer says sold out although the only color is black... it also still says the intercooler will fit stock charge pipes.
