Anyone know if you can purchase and install the FoMoCo block heater?

I know im in Canader eh, and I'm sure we all get block heaters.
every Ford I have had always has the cord tucked in behind the bumper somewhere.

but thus far I havent seen it yet. it's elusive, just like a credible service manager, but can anyone point me in the right direction to find where they tucked the cord?
Mine is secured to the passenger side of the adaptive cruise control radar head.

Hi Jerry,

Short back story. We were novice engineers heading to Bemidji MN for cold weather testing at -40°. We had block heaters installed on our Rangers. We purchased extension cords for plug in to the various places that offered them. So pulled up into the hotel parking lot and plugged in and went to the Bar and then to bed... In the morning...all the extension cords were stolen. We observed the natives plugged in and then rolled their front tire over the cord to trap it to prevent theft.

Ive had the extension cords stolen before too.

once though, the idiot walked in fresh snow to remove mine, and the foot prints lead directly to his vehicle where my cord was plugged in.
not only did he find i got my cord back, he also had 4 valve stems removed as payback.
Yikes, hope he learned :bandit:

Thanks buddy! It's -20C out there and I felt like an idiot shivering and staring under the hood with a flashlight trying to find it somewhere in the engine compartment like on my old Blazer. I would've looked even better rolling in to the dealer tomorrow to ask where it was!
