This is great news, any issues with the install on the Ranger?I ordered the one for the Bronco since the open diffs for both are the same (Dana 44 32 Spline).
Hope that helps man!
It cost me about $2k over all. I'm not too savvy with differentials so I paid to get it installed. No issues so far and it's been about 10k miles. The only "surprise" but not really a surprise is that I also had to buy new ring and pinion since it's welded on from the factory. But plenty of people has mention that on this forum before so I was already tracking itNeat! Curious what it will cost and how the install will work.
Where did you buy the ring and pinion? Did that place know if you could swap to higher gears from the Bronco? It cost me about $2k over all. They ordered all of it for me. I got it done at Off Road Warehouse in Escondido. And sorry man but I'm not sure about the gears.Where did you buy the ring and pinion? Did that place know if you could swap to higher gears from the Bronco?
That's overkill for the daily driver that just wants a gear swap. Plus I'm pretty sure you need a custom axle for the passenger side made.Looks like the FDU upgrade is available now too, though the price is above my spend limit. Different part numbers for the various gear ratios. Link is for the 3.73 ratio for example. Looks like you simply reverse one bracket on the housing tube for switching between Bronco configuration to Ranger configuration.
