Although related issue for the recall, this does not fall under it as C422 would affect the complete circuit.
I believe this is just a corroded terminal - root cause with secondary issues of crossing circuits due to the damaged connector.
However depending on part (harness) availability, to confirm a issue is not farther upstream would be to power check the connector (upstream feed) for both Park & Brake or just swap the right harness into the left and test the taillight housing as was already done previously with a no-help finding with the bad harness.
