I have been having issues with the cold side intercooler pipe coming off at the throttle body lately under full throttle, tried all the basic stuff to solve it but ended up being the driver side motor mount failed on me allowing the motor to lift just enough to pull off the pipe. My Revolution Auto tune making some big torque allowing me to break some shit LMAO. Weird thing is I did not feel the usual clunk associated with a bad motor mount.

Back in the late 76 I acquired a 1952 Studebaker pickup truck. It had a flathead 6 and non sych transmission. I decided to replace the driveline with a Ford 289cu V8 paired with an automatic. It didn't have much of a top end due to the rear axle gearing, But it was quick off the line to 50mph!

I fabricated / welded solid engine mounts in place. As result, the truck frame would flex from the torque under load from the engine torque. I sold the truck before finishing the project. I wanted my private pilots license more than the truck!

I got to tell you. If you can learn to fly in Colorado along the front range of the Rocky Mountains, you can fly anywhere. Airport above 7K ' and the wind rolling off those 14K' mountains make for serious turbulence 20-40 miles east of them!

Good Memories!
