Anyone have any good suggestions on how to fix this properly? The dealers can't seem to get it right.

i thought you were talking about the last button, how its not flush

i think i see what you mean by the first pic. just double sided tape holds it on have the dealer order one under warranty and fix it.

i wish we had the same keypad on some of the higher end models that integrate into the door frame. and not these cheesy stick on shit.

I really didn't want it and apparently the dealer added it after the truck arrived from the factory. I thought about double sided tape, but was thinking it may make it stick out further. I thought about glue, but haven't tried anything yet. I'll probably pick up some double sided tape if no one proposes anything better. Thank you.

Take it off the door and put it on the inside of the gas flap.
They put holes in my door to wire it or it would be gone.

Had to have mine replaced under warranty due to battery failure, service guy did a good job and it sits flush. Maybe the cover is not snapped on all the way or they used tape that was thicker then necessary.

I'm nearly positive based on what I've read and the images I've seen that there are no wires. The keypad is completely wireless. There are images here of the guy who removed it from the door and put it on the fuel door.

Removed mine as soon as I got home from the dealer. It is just the generic version held on with double sided tape. Which is why it looks out of place on a curved door.

Yep, double sided tape holds it on. Take a piece of fishing line (or similar), and remove it. Then put it on the inside of the fuel door -- I did that and it works fine.. Truck looks better without it stuck on the door..

I'll definitely check that out. I'm only going off what two different dealerships told me. Thank y'all!

They tend to not be knowledgeable about the ranger and just assume everything's the same as the f150.
