The headlight flash issue made me think of this....quirky electrical ish.
Has anyone noticed that their seat belt alarm is sometimes LOUDER than others? Mine is usually normal, but every so often, it's WAY louder. Almost startling.
Yes, I found that it happened in my 2019 when the Sync system wasn’t quite finished booting yet, or when the system was in “battery protection” mode. Probably worth checking whether or not your battery is on the way out, for me it was an early sign that the battery was approaching end of life. It seemed to happen more often in winter, which makes sense since the battery would be lower at that time.
Its louder because it switches over to the IPC Speaker, if the speaker system has not booted yet.
The IPC Speaker is the primary source for the Turn Signal (Click) and is the back-up for the other chimes but the audio quality is garbage and sounds distorted.
I just in the last month started noticing that on my Turn Signals too, sometimes they are loud sometimes I cant even hear them.
I wrote it off as a Ford thing since it dont effect MPG or safety LOL
I just used the seatbelt hack to disable the alarm as I have a long driveway that requires the gate to be opened, so got sick of hearing the alert when travelling down the last bit of driveway, now it lights up but no sound, perfect for off road too.
