I definitely noticed it as well! It was something I was considering

Even if it's normal for steel wheels or perhaps the angle of the image, I appreciate your input and definitely thought the same thing when I first looked at it!

if it helps, i have a set of the same wheels except the black version. non of mine have have a gap like that or paint issues. i think that wheel has some damage or abnormality. it may not make any difference in how it works. however, losing a wheel or a blow out at speed can cost lives / injury. i would suggest finding another set. :like:

Agreed. I don't wanna risk it for the biscuit. My goal is to get lighter wheels and improve fuel economy. I think therr are better options with the alloy wheels and tires with less sidewall. Apparently, the amount of sidewall flex can increase rolling resistance and decrease MPGs.

I'm thinking of going with 17 inch Ranger 6 spoke or Bronco Big Bend alloys with 265/65r17 HT tires. Ford parts website says Ranger wheels are 27.7 pounds and 26 pounds for the Big Bends.

Thanks guys for helping me avoid these risky biscuits!
