Does anyone camp/overland in the DMV area?

I came from CA too, although I moved here in 2014. Its a nice place. I've been going with some friends that all have Jeeps, may be nice to another ranger in the mix.

I'd like to do some wheelin at the DMV. I mean it would be great to pass the time on some trails/obstacles while you wait for your number to be called to update your drivers license photo. The DMV in my area just has old a#$ magazines to read..

Also, while we're on DMV area conversation. Any of you recommend a good 4x4 accessory shop? I went by one shop in the area but they didn't seem to have experience with the 2019+ Ranger

Assateague Island has beach access, Outer banks in NC, good mountain areas besides GW Forest and Green Ridge also are Sleepy Creek in WV and Dolly Sods.

If there’s people who want to do a group trip, i’d be more than down. That would be awesome. Get a little off roading in and then set up camp. Sounds like fun to me!

we tend to camp outside the DMV. We have done weekend trips to watermelon park in VA and Duck Neck in MD. both nice places to stay.

Is there any camping spots near the lake that you know of? For general public I mean.

Switzer lake recreation area off of 33. George Washington Forest. Also there, dunkle road up to flagpole knob. Lots of camping up there.
