For those who have changed out the front shocks did you replace fasteners you took apart with new ones or reuse them with loc tite?

For those who have changed out the front shocks did you replace fasteners you took apart with new ones or reuse them with loc tite?
I got all new fasteners. They weren’t that expensive and gave me some piece of mind. And I need lots of help in that area

Ford tech manuals say to toss all front suspension fasteners and replace with new. They are inexpensive. They are not nyloks but they do have a similar plastic insert. Locktite doesn’t always play well with nylok or similar nuts. Don’t take any chances - go with new.

Did you get new bolts and nuts or just the nuts?

Just the nuts - they are removed from threaded parts such as, upper ball joint, shock studs, tie-rod end, anti-sway bar link, etc.

You’ll see the word “discard” and a trash can icon in the manuals.
