Hi
New to the forum. I'm doing some headlight upgrades to my 2021 Ranger XLT. Part of this upgrade is installing Diode Dynamic Stage Series 6 light bars. I chose the SS6 because I have the Adaptive Cruise control which I want to continue to use. As well as the install and mounting brackets
I have been looking at and have some questions about the wiring.
1. I'd like to install an ON.OFF.ON toggle switch. I'd like the option of ON independently, Full OFF, or on with hi beams. I've been gathering resource materials but still looking for a factory wiring schematic and/or electrical drawings of the truck.
If anyone has installed a light bar similar to this setup I'd appreciate and input and/or feedback.
Thanks
JP

I have that light bar setup, but used the conventional switch in the kit

I have that kit as well. Really nice set up but like @Superspirit I did a conventional on/off switch using this really nice switch panel. You will probably need 2 switches anyway. I like the idea of what you want to do. I did aux lights a LONG time ago by tapping the high beam power to a relay that turned the aux lights on. You could probably do that with a switch before the relay. Basic wiring, I am fine but these electronic nightmares keep me to basic installations. :)

Thanks for the feedback guys! Nice setup Dave, I like the grill lights too!
The lights are on back order and planning the job in the meantime. When using the kit toggle switch, will it only run independently, either on/off? Can I bypass the switch and wire directly into the hi beam switch?
Also, Any isssues with bracket install or mounting? I have a plate on my front bumper. Will all that have to be removed?

Thank you! Bracket and light install was a piece of cake. They have an awesome set up. If you pull off the top plastic piece between the radiator and the grill, running the wires is easy. I got the switch plate with 2 switches and a double USB. You could wire one switch direct like I did and the other to interrupt the relay from the high beams for that option. Like I say, I am no expert but can do basic wiring. I used this tool to get the wires into the cab and the DD wires pull out of the clip and slide right back in to get the wires fished through. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08C21LDVS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I used this to tap into the highbeams. It works great. I did have to repin, as my version wasn't wired correctly, but others have used it with no modification needed.

I don't know how you'd make it on/off and high beams.

I talked to Diode Dynamics tech today. Tech name is Adam and he suggested the DD reverse wire harness. I'd have to repin from 4 to 2 and cap the spares. I'm still considering it.
Dave, I also looked at the toggle switch link you sent. like those a lot. If I order on Etsy, do I select "with blue toggles" for the style?
Here is the reverse wire harness. Im thinking about using this and connecting E and/or F to hi beam switch? Im going to try to get Ford wiring schematics to reference terminations. etc..
where is the best place to mount the Relay (C)

I got the USB & Blue Toggles. I only needed one switch but you can never have enough power ports. :) FYI, they are Nilight switches, available on Amazon if you want to change things up later.

Exactly. extra AUX switch for any future upgrades. Does that USB/toggle setup come fabricated? how's the install? Does it come with instruction?

@Jimmy James It comes all assembled. He used to have a video but I can't find it. There are four hooks on the top of it that align with the vent holes in the dash panel. Align the hooks with the holes, push up and then back and it stays in place. Pretty slick. I ran a t tap off the lighter/12v power port for the USB power so it turned off with the key. The wires that come with the switches are a little stiff, that was the hardest part of the installation.

I messaged the seller with a few questions. also was having a look at it today. I thought it would require removing the panel etc but if it's fitted like you describe it may be the way to go. When you tapped the 12 V pos wire to the USB does that mirror the battery voltage also? Would panel have to be removed to access 12 V adapter wiring? It does look slick.
I went to Ford today and got the L/R headlight module layout and selector switch wiring. Here's what they gave me

I did have to remove the panel to access the 12 V adapter. There are Youtube videos on how to do it. I started it with a plastic trim tool. It does mirror the battery voltage unless there is an active USB connected. I have a dash cam connected to one of the ports and a phone charger for the wife in the other. True voltage reading comes from the other 12 V adapter (on the right) with an Amazon gadget that gives cabin temp too. It is pretty tight at first. Be sure to pull straight back. Not much help with schematics, sorry. FYI, best to do a reply so I get notified. :)
