21 Tremor. So I actually haven’t been under the truck to look yet. I know my bad. I wanted to know your thoughts on diff breathers? Is what we got from ford adequate? One of the areas around me has some pretty deep water holes. I want to go but before I submerge my trucks diffs under water for a while I want to understand what’s actually there now. Any info or Thoughts? Changing the diff fluid seasonally? Thanks for your time.

If you know you've put the diff under water, the oil needs changed.

On mine, the rear diff vent routes up toward the fuel filler neck but haven't put eyes on the top end of vent hose. On the front diff, I would mod it to go higher as it is way too low in my opinion. Definitely take a look at yours before a first water crossing in case Ford deleted any vent hoses along the way.

i had the arb diff breather kit to put on the 5g. when i got under and really looked where the stock tubes were i sent the arb set back. in order to have the factory tubes to be too low water would coming into the cab of the truck around the door jambs. im not going that deep. unless i hit the lotto jackpot and can afford to replace trucks on a whim lol. if you have the time / patience allowing the diffs to cool off before going into water will help prevent issues. the closer the diffs are to the water temp before being submerged the better.

No water in diffs, tcase or cab. Checked fluids afterwards. Also was in constant motion with trail control set at 2 mph.

Your alternator should be dead.

Dead, DEAD, DEAD! ?

i think the alternators are designed to work fine after being submerged until you are 100 miles from any city, have a dead phone and are on a back road where no one will stop to help.

I think you can disable that sensor in Forscan. It links moisture sensor in alternator with GPS navigation and CarPlay

This happened in June 2022 and about 4000 miles ago.
