I don't know about the 6G, but mine has enough drain holes that the water will not stay, and the bedrug is porous enough that it will dry quickly. Even when I have it tilted downhill towards the front it still drains out. But, it still captures dirt just from leaves and stuff blowing around.
I had a drop in liner in an old truck and they beat the hell out of the paint, spray in is way better.I know as soon as I pull the trigger and buy a bed rack, I'll be hauling stuff left and right and need that space.
On topic - I have spray-on bed liner. I've had it in my last 3 trucks. It's great and I wouldn't own a truck without it. That said, a bed rug would make crawling around in the bad more comfortable.
My vote - do both.
