I don't know about the 6G, but mine has enough drain holes that the water will not stay, and the bedrug is porous enough that it will dry quickly. Even when I have it tilted downhill towards the front it still drains out. But, it still captures dirt just from leaves and stuff blowing around.
I know as soon as I pull the trigger and buy a bed rack, I'll be hauling stuff left and right and need that space.

On topic - I have spray-on bed liner. I've had it in my last 3 trucks. It's great and I wouldn't own a truck without it. That said, a bed rug would make crawling around in the bad more comfortable.

My vote - do both.
I had a drop in liner in an old truck and they beat the hell out of the paint, spray in is way better.

Also, drop-ins can move and scratch the paint then develop rust on the paint from water being trapped between them and the floor.

Yeah, and I had the type that wrapped over the top rail of the bed, this was before they put the plastic rail protectors on. It chewed through the paint where the liner touched the top edge all the way around. It never rusted through since I guess it kept polishing the rust off, but it still ate the paint off.

I had Bed Rug on my Ranger. My son has Line-X on his Colorado. Both of us are happy with them. Only difference, if I put boxes in the bed they don't slide around. But that can make it hard to get heavy ones out.

I'm supposed to get my truck Line-xed this month. It's a toss up between it and a bed rug. I won't be doing a lot of hauling.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
TIA
Here's my $.02! My truck came with the Ford drop in liner and the Ford roll-up tonneau cover. I got tired of busting the crap out of my knees when I had to root around in the bed so I used these foam interlocking tiles (Foam Tiles). For me they work great! Makes it nice for my truck bed tent floor and no problems throwing my kayaks on top of them. YMMV

That's smart! I have the bed tent but am waiting to set it up until I get the bed sprayed. Temporarily I have a moving blanket to use for these old knees! I will eventually get the bed rug just for the floor.

I have the Ford Tri-fold and Bedliner. I like them

And I have the economy Bedrug - Harbor Freight moving blankets
I may just stick with the HF way. A lot cheaper! Lol!

Bed rug also covers the gap between the bed and tailgate preventing a lot of dust from getting inside your bed keeping it and your contents nice and clean. :like:

I got the spray in liner from ford put a rough country rubber mat in as well, also got the tailgate cover from ford accessories. I like the rubber mat easy to take out wash and put back in, it has little dimples on the bottom for airflow I guess. Cover the box with a truxedo x15 tonneau rollup to keep the rain out.
