I like my BedRug and routinely haul brush, small logs, pallets, and general dump stuff. I've laid down a 27 gallon air compressor without worrying about the bed or paint on the compressor. Same for a metal snowblower and Billy Goat lawn vac.

It's easy on my old knees and pretty easy to clean. LOL, don't be like me and blast it with a foam cannon, it took a ton of water to rinse out the soap.

I didn’t like the idea of scuffing up the paint for a spray in, BUT enough dirt, leaves, and twigs get under the BedRug that I imagine paint rubbing to bare metal in the years to come. I don't really see myself taking it out for a deep clean, so much double-sided velcro tape would need to be replaced.

It's easy but a little frustrating to install. Despite using isopropyl alcohol, the front never stays in place, so I use giant magnets (they do help to lightly hold a tarp in place that can pull away easily when loaded with chopped up leaves).

I'd do it again but a spray in with rubber mat or just the floor part of a BedRug would be a good alternative.

Bonus, it's not bad to lay on to look at the stars or could be well used if you become a dump babe magnet! =D

Don't think I've ever heard of a "dump babe magnet." Thank you for the laugh and smile!

I got the rubber bed mat from from ford, keeps stuff from sliding around and noise down. Doesn’t protect sides of box though. Wheel wells, box and tail gate scuffed up. Oh well its a truck….
Works for me

Have both…my pad is a 3/8 thick neoprene mat that was delivered by mistake, years ago, to a warehouse I ran..

I thought the same thing, why get the Line-X when a bed mat (not rug) will do because I won't haul much. Now my bulkhead and wheel wells are scratched to shit.

And famous last words: "I won't be doing any major hauling" ;)
I know as soon as I pull the trigger and buy a bed rack, I'll be hauling stuff left and right and need that space.

On topic - I have spray-on bed liner. I've had it in my last 3 trucks. It's great and I wouldn't own a truck without it. That said, a bed rug would make crawling around in the bad more comfortable.

My vote - do both.
