I'm supposed to get my truck Line-xed this month. It's a toss up between it and a bed rug. I won't be doing a lot of hauling.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
TIA

If I had the money I would do the Line-X and a bed mat of some kind. I have a deezee bedmat, but if I had it to do over again I'd choose a different brand as mine has a hump in it that never did relax out to lay flat.

Get both the Line X or Bullet Spray Liner and a Bed Rug Bed Mat. Line X or Bullet Liner will do a great job of protecting the entire bed, and the Mat will just cover the floor of the bed....and your knees will thank you.
I have both the Bullet Spray Liner and the Bed Mat....... highly recommend the Bed Mat.

I'd go with the bed rug. If anything, softer place to sit/lay down on occasionally.

Surely I'm not the only guy that sometimes lies down in their truck bed...

edit: Oh you have the lariat trim. Get both. You got the $$$

Hasen't been mentioned so far, but, before you get the liner sprayed in, remove the tie downs and any other bed accessories, and plug the threaded holes with some simple tapered cork plugs or
rubber plugs. It will keep the spray out of the threads....if you don't it will be a royal pain to remove the spray from the holes....usually have to re-tap them. Even a golf tee can be used as a plug.

Starting to lean more toward the bed rug. As I said before I really don't have any heavy hauling. Just some concerns with water getting under the bed rug.

I would get the spray-on liner 1st and then decide on the rug. A great advantage of the liner is that it will prevent scratches to the paint especially if you ever haul stuff plus it has a nice cosmetic effect to contrast the paint and comes in different colors.

It'll be fine. They're usually held in by velcro. If water won't evaporate fast enough just yank it out for a day.

Water and dirt will get under it. I've never hauled dirt in mine, and it still captured enough dirt that I have seeds sprouting this year around the edges.

And famous last words: "I won't be doing any major hauling" ;)
