Heater stopped working..

I guess this is becoming a more common issue.. heater stopped working at 23,000mi..

I can hear grinding, cracking under the dash when I switch from cold to hot, so either the actuator is bad or the vent froze up. It’s not a big deal, but Crown Ford here In Fayetteville, NC basically told me to abandon my truck there and maybe they will get to it... no loaner cars or rides home.

Its not a big deal.. but damn.. poor customer service.

I would definitely try another dealer for a loaner. Also the vent and actuator is fine. There is a bulletin about this and the distribution box for the HVAC needs to be replaced. I had this issue happen last year and it is a pain. Yes the dash has to be removed in order to fix the issue.
