I bought a new camera and it has adhesive and suction mounts.
I use a ram mount suction mount for my phone, hot weather, cold weather it falls off.
My old camera did the same thing and I want to avoid that.
I thought there was a mount that hooked to that giant plastic rear view mirror mount and you could plug into the power was well?

Any idea or products you all know of?

My camera came with either a sticky mount or a suction cup mount. I received mine as a gift and the gift giver bought the version with the suction cup. It eventually stopped holding the camera on my windshield and I ordered the sticky back mount and switched to that. I've absolutely had no issues with the sticky mount and love it for my camera.

As for power options, I know there are aftermarket dongles out there that allow cameras to plug into the wiring of the mirror (not sure if it works with all Ranger trim levels).

Few of the members posted some dongles, I need to get in touch with company and see if they will work

lol
need a way to mount a dash cam that won’t constantly fall off /suction cup).
I thought at one time I had seen a mount that tied into the rear view mirror system

Looks like I can get power from the mirror

I've got two dash cams...one is a Garmin that has a metal plate attached to windshield with VHB tape and the camera's has a magnet that locks to that plate...the other is a Wolfbox and straps to the rear view mirror...
