So this is my third ranger. First was a 2019 lariat non fx4 purchased in 2019, Loaded other than fx4. I live in Arizona and routinely off road, and never thought I needed the fx4 because of its composite skid plates. Second one I bought was lariat loaded with fx4 after ford bought mine back in 2021. Huge difference in ride. The nicest riding vehicle I have ever owned. I took a job in Dallas two years ago, and was commuting. Bought a cheap big bend bronco sport as a commuter car last March. It was a good car, but I’m spending more time in Dallas, and hate ā€œcarsā€. I just like sitting up higher and having a truck. So after getting a house in Dallas, my next buy was another ranger. Still have my ranger in Arizona and use it two weeks a month at my other house. I have been looking for a certified ranger for months. Can’t find new rangers anywhere, finally found a 2022 which was sold in February of 2023. Had 19000 miles on it, oil changes every 5000. So the person bought it in February of 2023, sold it in September of 2023 with 19000 miles. It was a commuter truck I guess. Lariat, black appearance, 4x4, technology package etc. My wife thinks it rides better, I now can’t tell the difference, but the road quality in Arizona is not in the same ballpark as Dallas. It still rides great. Sat at a Chrysler dealer for 4 months. 35000 price. Just love these trucks. I have had f-150’s, explorers, etc during the 8 years they quit making them. Nothing rides the same, or fits in garages. Quick, great ride, roomy, very few downsides. Every item I buy another one, I just smile. Love these trucks. And I have had couple fingers of lagavulin…just saying.

After reading your post, I would like you to know I am an orphan and need to be adopted by a nice family like yours.

I have a 2023 Ranger XLT FX4 that came with a max tow package which included a 2.3 V-6 engine. Itā€˜s a real workhorse. Sadly it only gets 21 miles per gallon. I read somewhere that Ford only made 29,588 2023 Rangers. I was looking at Mavericks, but they had little towing capacity. They brought out a Ranger with 7000 lbs towing capacity. Perfect for my 4600 lb travel trailer. I bought it. I don’t even know it’s behind me.

Prepare for inbound razzing ?

Ranger only came with 2.3 EcoBoost 4 cylinder and has 7500lbs tow capacity.

And yes, these trucks tow like a train.

See my build sheet, I have a 2.3 liter V-6, I’m trying to add build sheet but having a problem. Do you see it?
Sorry, my bad, I am old and confused. You’re right.
