For those of you that have stock sizes and no lift, what AT do you run? I cannot get mine to balance well enough to eliminate the vibration at 65/70ish MPH, yes, road pressure balanced even, So I'm looking to make some changes. May lose the stock rims as well.

I am still on the original Bridgestone Duelers at 49K miles. I've had no real problems with keeping them balanced. I keep air pressure at 30lbs per the door sticker.

When these wear out I will replace them with Michelins one size wider.

2021 XLT 4wd Sport. Stock height.

I've got 265/70R/17 Calvary's and they are rough.
2019 STX

On a side note, the dealership said they're seeing tons of tire issues when people bring in Fords thinking there's a transmission issue or drive line problem.

I have the stock size Goodyear Wrangler ATs on 17x9 Fuel Shok +20 offset wheels and the only vibration that I have is from the washboards on sections of the highway and the farm market roads.

Wow that’s rough.. I have general grabbers 35’s (37psi) and mine are riding true. I’m definitely not stock height though..

the vibration is it in the steering wheel or in the body? Or both?
My thought is maybe driveshaft vibration if it’s being felt through the seat and not as much in the steering wheel.
Is the balancing showing them slightly out of spec?

Tires are such a subjective thing… Lol the question really comes down to what kind of driving you do? Different AT tires handle certain terrain and conditions better than others. I spent months researching tires before I finally pulled the trigger on a set of Falken Wildpeak AT4’s. Reasoning was that they were the only set of AT tires I found that:
1) Wouldn’t break the bank.
2) Had solid reviews online.
3) They’re 3-peak snow rated.
4) They have a 60k mile warranty.
5) I liked the tread pattern lol

I’ve had all sorts of tires on my trucks. Goodyear, BF Goodrich, Bridgestone, Hankook, Yokohama… The Falken’s have been the best performing so far. They’re also pretty damn quiet on the highways, which wasn’t a consideration when shopping around, but is definitely appreciated. They handle well in gravel, sand, and mud but excel in cold and wet conditions. Where I live, we get lots of snow and ice during the winter and this was the deciding factor for me. I haven’t had to chain up once since putting the Wildpeaks on my Ranger. They handle like a champ in the snow. I liked them so much, I put them on the wife’s truck too.

There’s videos you can watch on YouTube where they put different sets of tires on the same truck and drive it on a course to show how each brand reacts to different terrains and driving conditions. Dry vs wet braking, sidewall deformation, loaded bed vs empty, etc… The Wildpeaks consistently scored pretty high across the board. If I can find it, I’ll post the link.

I'm still on the stock tires as I don't drive enough to have needed new ones yet but my plan is to upgrade to Falken Wildpeaks when the time comes. My experience with the AT3Ws on my previous vehicle, a 2006 Colorado WT, was very positive. I noticed the tires performed extremely well in wet weather, provided decent off-road grip, and were quiet on the road. The only downsides were the durability of individual lugs seemed less than average. I suspect they fixed that with the AT4Ws at the cost of wet weather performance (unfortunately).

Yokohama Geolanders in 255/65/17 which is standard size over here. Not a very aggressive AT tread, but works on tar and dirt, (very well) sand (fairly well) deep sticky mud (not too well at all) in fact they do most things well.

I've been using Discount Tires for mounting/balancing my 285s and there's never been any balancing issues...

I've checked out my u joints etc and found those to look fine. Yolk needs to be greased but that's getting handled this week. Yolk support is stable as far as I can tell, there's no crazy movement there that I can feel/see. It's only happening at the higher speed.

I have the stock LT hankook all terrains. I haven’t had issues with vibration or uneven wear but around 32k miles they started to get louder and I notice the volume from around 50–65 mph. Compared to some vehicles with ATs they arnt bad but still i notice it. @Frenchy has had good luck with the Firestone destination XT, I was planning on switching to those at some point on this ranger or whatever vehicle I end up with after.

I am on my second set of stock Desert Duelers and have never had a problem with balancing . They are a perfect compromise of dirt vs pavement.

First set of replacement tires were Cooper AT3's which never wanted to balance right.
I did find that the rear shocks were blown at 50,000 miles which contributed to the problem.
The next two sets (just got the newest ones three weeks ago) were Mastercraft AT's, no issues.
