For tire inflator I use this one from Amazon works well and is small to fit in my truck. A little expensive but it is worth the money.

Both are great for what I need.
I am really liking that inflator. But the Amazon listing doesn't show a price or availability.

Click on all the buying options button the price is $190.99 as I said it is not cheap, but it does work well and has a great lithium battery in it!

I have a harbor freight inflator in both cars. Mine is 15+ years old and still kicking. They were 19.99 then. Just as an option. But all these talks about jump boxes might make me reconsider them in the future. Damn forum again. Cables are so cheap….

I like my DeWalt inflator, set to the pressure and go. Works with 20V battery, or I can plug it into 12V to power it if the battery dies. I need to look into a new jump start box, my old one "got swole", so I had to drop it at the recycling center. I'm thinking about one of those Noco's with the force activate for dead batteries but need to really catch it on a good sale to consider it. My wife still has a small jump box in her Jeep and I can get by with my Jackery Explorer 1500 and my Battery Tender charger/jumper with Wi-Fi. They are just very heavy and bulky. So not too much of a rush to replace mine right now.

I settled on one of these, a n Etenwolf Vortex S6 inflator and a Naco 1000 for her Subi.
The Etenwolf has exceptional reviews, self contained with a LI battery so no external battery needed.
Already have a Naco in the Ranger, and it was a no brainer...

For air, I carry a Viair 88p under the backseat and, for battery, I carry a Noco GB40 either under the drivers seat or in the glove box. Those all in one units are too big to carry in the cab. I’ve never had to use the Noco, but the reviews give me confidence it will work in a pinch. I have used the Viair and it works great. I also keep a Makita battery powered inflator in the garage just to top off my tires. I use the Makita ecosystem of cordless tools, but Dewalt, Milwaukee, etc., all have something similar.
This, although I keep the bigger Noco GB70 in my truck. Never needed it for myself, but man this thing works. Hardest thing it started was an old late 60's Cadillac with the big block. It struggled a bit but ultimately won out. I also am a big fan of Noco units as they hold their charge a long time. My buddy used to work with these things when he was a boat mechanic, and would use it all week before it needed to be charged. As it sits, i top it off every 6 months or so.

I too keep a Viair 88p in the truck, although with my new tires i've been wanting something a little more substantial but it certainly gets the job done. Both items, along with some other crap, live comfortably in the swing case in the bed.

I've never had good luck with any of those random combo units, let alone standard jump starters... they usually crap out way before they should.

The recent reviews on that little guy are not good.
Funny mine has been working quite well for five years, and it filled my 3500 tries to 80 pounds because they were E rated and pulled a 14000-pound fifth wheel, and it is still working to this day. I learned a long time ago to not trust any reviews because most were B.S. and that is what returns are for anyway!

Another +1 for separate devices. In my experience, most of those combo units can't handle more than a tire at a time a time, are bulky as hell, and the integrated batteries always suffer in extreme heat/cold (aka when you need them most)

I can't comment on specific jumper packs, but the "Pittsburgh 12V... Compact Air Compressor" does a great job as an air compressor in a pinch and is a bargain. I picked one up on sale for $60 and keep it under the rear seat for airing tires up after being offroad... It'll take all 4 of my tires (265/70r17) from 15 to 35psi in about 5-10 mins.

The only caveat is that little compressor and it's quick disconnect hose get HOT after running under load for several minutes.

Good review, but did it really take you 3500 tries to get 80lbs?:crazy::crackup:

When pulling my fifth wheel I ran all four tires to 80 pounds it handled better when pulling that trailer. Plus, I had a 50-gallon Transfer Flow Aux tank in the bed which gave me an 85-gallon fuel capacity plus a 100-pound hitch in the bed, so I ran my tires that high and had my Air Lift bags on my rear axle running at 50 pounds. Just so I could get max handling when pulling!

I just posted what I carry for my truck to keep tires full and what I use for the battery. I Do not care if anyone buys them or not, they work for me!

Sorry dude, I wasn't challenging you on your experience. It was that obvious spelling error that made me laugh. "it filled my 3500 tries to 80 pounds". I know you meant 3500 'tires' to 80 pounds, right?
No offense!

Sorry did not mean to be a jerk I just misunderstood your reply, and I am not the best person with the keyboard. I did not mean to offend anyone! Maybe it is best for me to just read and not reply any more I do not do well on forums.
