Some of you may remember I was the guinea pig for a resonator delete. Although it makes a big difference on the mustang ecoboost, they apparently have very different exhaust systems because a resonator delete doesn’t do anything to the ranger.
With my resonator deleted I decided to try and find a muffler on Amazon that would be close to the length of the stock muffler. With a $100 gift card in hand I found a Magnaflow muffler for $75. I knew it was a risk not knowing what it would sound like. Well hacked off the old one this morning and got the new guy welded up in there and it sounds great! Not ricey and loud at all, but has a good tone. Super stoked!
When I did the resonator delete I paid a shop to do it because I don’t have a tubing bender. Of course we found out the resonator was unnecessary to take out but with that and the muffler I’m $155 into it. I’m happy
