Use the steering wheel controls and on your screen I believe its "Vehicle".....go to your settings and set "Last setting". I think you have to leave the heater on its settings when you shut the Ranger off. When you restart it your heater goes with your last settings. Have mine set and works every day!
Mine did too until I did the last update. Now every time I have to redo the settings. I'm thinking it might be time to disconnect the battery and do a reset.

Honestly, I don’t think I can. ?‍♂
I have the 300A package - bare bones - I don’t get any notices to update - does anyone know if the 300A and that little 4” screen uses Sync? it has radio and time and temp - not much more.

Seriously, I don’t know, but I get along fine with that single knob for temperature control and the other for fan speed. ?
You could always use this. ?

This latest update musta changed the settings then.......disconnect might reset it! I did the update and mine still works........however, mine will allow a combo of floor and vents but won't allow defrost to be combined with the other two. Weird!

I had never updated mine in 3 1/2 years until this one. Maybe because it was so long and so much data there's a glitch in there?

If you warm up your truck in the winter and there is ether snow, ice or both on your windshield use the auto setting only when you warm up. Or plan to next day set it to auto when you turn off your truck.

Overriding this and warmup is set to defrost and foot has resulted in some members ending up with cracked windshields. The cracks happen at the base of the dash line around where the Ford cookie is on the windshield. Cracks go horizontal across the glass from center out.

Personally I do the auto setting and then when I jump in change it to what I want for the drive.
Good to know, thanks.

My guess is that you probably have the older version of Sync, like what I had in my 2010 Escape; basically, it connected my phone to the hands-free system, allowed for a subscription to SiriusXM, and I think that was it. My climate control, audio, etc. was all of the sort which you have now. I forget whether that one was Sync3, or my current one is Sync3.

That seems about right - for me, less to worry about and I’m used to the “old school” temperature and fan controls. ?
