Anyone discover a way to change the default fan speed for the A/C when it's on AUTO? I searched the forum and couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance.

My understanding is that if you have the A/C on Auto the system controls the fan speed, up or down, to reach and maintain the desired temp that is set.

Correct. It like it to default to a slightly slower speed.

I’m guessing that, like myself, you think that the lowest fan speed in auto mode blows more air than you want. It’s a minor annoyance, but I suspect necessary to prevent ice formation in the evaporator/distribution box.

Only setting I found for climate in remote start was to have it go to auto or go to last settings. I have mine set on last settings, seems to be in auto when I start it but goes to last settings once I put the key in and turn it. Lariat with push button start may be different

Its AUTO for a reason. its programmed to be the most efficient at its task.

flip it off auto and you can set it to whatever you want.

page 108 in the owners manual for reference

maybe the Forscan guru's will offer a setting that can be changed if you're brave enough to go into that domain and make changes.
I’ve made a few Forescan changes so I’m up for that but couldn’t find it on the list.

From what I’ve seen and know is you cannot change which fan speeds are used for auto image control. I understand what you want because our volvo lets you choose any fan speed in auto mode which is nice. However, the downside to this is choosing a lower fan speed in auto will take longer to condition the cabin.

Not sure if this is what you are asking for but in my truck, AC in Auto, if the blower is a bit to high for my taste then I'll just bump the temperature down a few degrees and this will reduce the fan speed.

To put simple Auto AC will do what it need to maintain a set temperature in the vehicle. When it is very close to that temperature fan speed will lower quite a bit to where I hardly notice it. It will also change the temp door position as needed to maintain the set temperature. What you can try is set the fan speed and auto may only change the mode and temp doors but i am not positive. I do know that when on auto you can select what door or mode you want and the temp.and fan speed will adjust accordingly. Hope this info helps.
