LOL.....My post was....NOT FOR EVERYONE....I double-checked...and yep, that what I posted.....lol Same as for glass protection....I mean, one could go all the way....and hire someone to guard said vehicle 24 hours a day....ANOTHER LOL
To each his own you can buy an alarm that will beep and get ignored or you can emulate smash and bulletproof glass for the same price.

It sounds like it is but I don't think alarms in general do much. People always hear them in parking lots and neighborhoods and by the time someone bothers to look a smash and grab is over.
As a long time resident of San Francisco (thankfully now, quite a while ago), I can attest to the accuracy of this statement. Criminals just don’t care about alarms at all, even the homeless person doing a smash and grab for loose change.

Ah, please forgive me, as I now understand. I failed to mention that the small hamlet that I live in has a curfew, and the town gates close at 8pm. All thieves, vagabonds, etc. are escorted out at 755pm and sent on their way. The moat is then filled with various and sundry man-eating critters to ensure the safety of the local denizens, especially those who are hard of hearing. At 8am, the moat is emptied, the gates open, and bluebirds and butterflies are once again spreading joy! LASTLY....THE VAULT AND ALARM ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE.....lol

i appreciate your good nature in all of this, but I actually wasn’t directing my observation regarding San Francisco at your setup.

As I posted in one of my posts, I keep a safe in the cab of my truck and that is where I store my EDC when I am going into any place that prohibits guns. I don’t expect that safe will do much to anyone determined to get it (simple cable cutters would free it), all it likely will do is foil the most casual of opportunists, which I guess isn’t nothing.

On the P380, when I first got it, I was out at a range I frequented back then, just getting to know it. A friend of mine happened by, he was retired California Highway Patrol and a guy that always placed higher in the order of merit than me in the practical pistol competitions we shot at that club. His carry weapon was a tired looking milspec 1911 with which he was quite handy.

He said, “hey Bill, whatcha got there?” I showed it to him, told him to give it a go if he liked. He said, “oh no thanks”, “Ya know Bill, when you need a gun, you need a gun.” Then started laughing quite loudly. He cracked himself up, quite often. :)

I have a theory a thief won't look in a box of tampons. What does everything think? Good hiding spot?

Seriously, some bemoan the .380, but I suspect the car jacker will yield after receiving a few rounds from Ms. 'Elsie P,' aka Ruger LCP. I've seen what it does to various target materials, I wouldn't want to get shot with it! I'd give up the moment I saw that little barrel staring at me!

Now that I've lived with the fingerprint lock on my iPhone for years, I trust that technology. Probably rather have it than analog dials. I understand fingerprint sensors do not work on wet hands, so you might need a plan B if you're already covered in blood. Need to dry that thumb!

Would like to get a Console Vault that fits under the rear seat but the company says the one they already make won't fit the Super Cab models, only the Super Crew. They need requests for them to build one for the Super Cab model. I filled in the request form for them to create one. Even if those that read this don't really plan on buying one, can you at least get on the Console Vault FB page and fill in the form that asks them to build it for that model truck? It might prompt them to put one together. Thanks.
