I remember watching the ones where they did this to all the new Bronco Mules. It was gut wrenching to watch but these are only test vehicles and were never made for anything else.

Hopefully they took the damper off before crushing it. :crying:

Normally a title like this might make me a little excited. This was a click bait title Dave… zero excitement here.

Is this Mature content because watching them crush the Raptor can make you say Mature Sentence Enhancer words?

The way current Fords are built, I'm not so sure it elicits a very emotional response at all.

I understand the "why" they do it, but I have to ask... why wouldn't they take parts (like the damper... ok, maybe the wheels and tires) to perhaps repurpose them?

Most likely because of liability issues. Everyone is sue happy so if a wheel fails because it was "used" they'd be sued for it and it's not worth the risk. It's all baked into the price of new vehicles now.

Can you imagine reusing a damper and the tailgate fails and falls on some poor kids head!

Yep, anything that was on a development mule is a 'suspect part' and 'not up to production standards' whether it was or not. Thank the lawyers.....

It might have gone through HALT testing and everything on it has millions of miles on them.
