Hey all, obligatory first post, happy to be back in the Ranger crowd!

I have done a fair bit of searching, dug through old threads here and various other places, but with the fact that people seem to use bed lighting and cargo lighting interchangeably and the fact that there's a lot of wonderful in-bed lighting options, it has been hard to find anything.

There is a button on the dash, just to the right of the light switch, for the cargo light at the top of the cab. However, I cannot find *anywhere* that there is a notification that this light is actually on. Am I missing something? If not, has anyone found a way to actually get an indication of the status of this light? It seems like an led in the button itself should have been the perfect solution to this, if not something in the dash.

Interesting. I'm not sure why I didn't check the manual for this. I'll have to give it a test, it does make more sense there's no indication then. I wonder how long it'll stay on after ignition off if this is the case.

I haven't tested the cargo lights, but do know that the 12V bed plug circuit turns off after 2 hours. I've got LED Bedlights installed on that power source and have tested it to see how long they stay on after I turn the ignition off. I've also got a cell phone booster plugged into the cigarette lighter port in the cab and that's 2 hours too then it turns off.

Seems logical that it would be the same thing. It makes me feel better about not having an indicator of the light being on then.
