I made the decision (a few weeks ago) to cancel my Bronco order and move on from this fiasco. Between Fords latest emails to us a few weeks ago about changing your order to something THEY want you to build and this long wait I’ve lost all interest now. Plus I’m still in the low 400’s on the dealers list and no way they’re going to get 400+ allocations in the next few months. Then when it doesn’t get pulled Ford has said they’re most likely going to wipe the books clean of all past reservations and now you’ll have to start fresh and reorder again. That means the 2020 price protection will be gone and seeing how much these (and everything else) have gone up over the past couple years it makes it not really worth it for me now.

My buddy (actually it’s his wife’s) who had a day 1 reservation and finally got theirs last June is now selling his. He asked me if I wanted first shot at it and it only has 3,000 miles, been garaged since December and he’s more OCD than I am if you can believe that. lol It’s close to what I was going to order (2dr Badlands, white, non SAS, High package) but they have a lot more options and accessories bringing it to $60K. Mine was only going to be $47K with the invoice pricing and $2,000 off dealer special. That’s way more than I wanted to spend on a toy right now. Plus now that I have my name on a list at 3 different dealers for a Ranger Raptor I’ll see what happens there. While I’m not going to get my hopes up at least there’s a better chance now at getting one. The B&P still isn’t out and we’re only guessing at what the price will be on those based on what the ROTW Raptors are going for. Looks like the wait is on again.

Nice looking truck. The turbo lag seemed worse than on the Ranger. Lack of physical buttons, using only monitor for controls no Bueno for me. Only halogen lights yuck. Like the bumper step and tailgate storage box tho. Have to pass on the new Colorado I think

Me too! I'd get way more use out of it and there's a lot more storage/cargo area in the Raptor. They have a place on the water down in RI and can barley fit enough stuff going on trips down there. I can't imagine trying to do a month long trip with the limited room in a 2dr. ? Although that might keep Annie from bringing so much junk along. lol

It does sound like there's more lag but these are still new and not broke in so maybe they'll be a little more responsive after breaking in? The non headlight knob doesn't bother me much because you can just set it to auto and forget it. Some say what if the screen goes out and I guess that could be a problem but in almost 4 years mine has never gone blank (yet) on me. I'd hope there's some kind of override somewhere seeing as that wold be a safety hazard.

There should've been and option for LED's but I guess their theory for halogens is keeping the cost down. The Trail Boss is designed to be more for the off roader and there's more chances of taking out a headlight on branches so halogens would be cheaper to replace.

I lost my love for the new "bronco" as soon as I sat in one. Having owned a 92 for a long time I wanted a proper F150 Bronco, the size of it was its value to me.

See I actually really liked the seating and feel of it. I had the chance to drive a Badlands on the road and a Wildtrak off road for about an hour and the 2dr Wildtrack was really nice! The seating, comfort and gauges especially the larger touch screen were super nice. But I can see where you'd feel that way having a '92 as these are more of a refined retro look and feel. I'd still love to get one and we'll see what happens with the Raptor once that price comes out. lol :surprised:

It felt too similar to sitting in my Ranger for me to be excited about it. Looks cool from the outside though!

Maybe that's why I liked it so much. lol But it's based off the same platform so they'll ride very similar. One thing I really loved was the marine grade vinyl seats. Those are way more comfortable than my leather. It'd be nice to have that option in the next Ranger.

That's great Benny!! I'm glad yours is finally scheduled and at a perfect time, you'll have it for late spring early summer. Almost 3 years from the day you reserved it.

I'm sure it will be 3 full years before it will be delivered ,lol.

Now to make a decision about the Ranger. Surprisingly the wife says keep it but something really needs to go. I drive my '91 Ranger to work most days so don't need something just sitting around to pay tax and insurance on.

:stop: Hold on a minute before you make a huge mistake. We have to look at this logically.

What costs you more the Ranger or the wife? ? My guess is the wife.

.:whew: You could've make a huge mistake there getting rid of your Ranger.?
