So I put a leveling kit, wheels, and tires on my new truck. 17in wheels 33's for ties. I had bad wobble inbetween 70 to 80 mph. I got it balanced and it fixed it a lot better but it didnt go away entirely. I had them balanced 2 more times and it still didnt fix it. I mean the wobble is still bad enough where my trucks seat shake bad. I also have hub centric rings on.

I heard of these beads that I can try but I dont really want to use those. I have no idea what else to do. Do you guys have bigger tires and your ride is good with no wobble or is it just something that comes with over sized tires?

I assume you have been realigned after these changes? What beads are you referring to?

Wild guess but if all else fails, look for a faulty tire...try rotating rear to front and see if any changes occur...

Helps to know more about what trim you got. They all vary some so that could possibly play into it. As OP said, do a tire swap to see if it moves with that. If not then some other factor, possibly stock shocks could be problematic

Hi Brian,

When you make multiple changes as you have it is hard to track down...I think you have a bad wheel or a bad tire. I have beads in my RV tires but I use centramatic balance rings....However these are 22.5" diameter tires and heavy as all get out. If you use beads, you will need to replace the valve cores with a special one to keep the beads out of the valve stem and the potential leak concern... I am of the opinion that beads in small tires are a bandaid for a bigger problem... JMO!

Good Luck!

Best,
Phil

These are the beads I was talking about https://counteractbalancing.com/. There are youtube videos of people using them on thier 4x4 and wotking for them.

I have had them rotated a few times during oil changes. Its crazy I have looked at many videos and tried everytthing except having someone look to see if I have somekind of mechnaical problem. I guess Ill go that route eventually but Im not ready for the replace eveything untill its fixed scenario lol.

Its a Lariet Fx4. I guess I have a big mountain to climb here trying to figure out what exactly it is. Lots of stuff to look through.

I suspect the alignment may be your problem. How so? Simple, Toe is most likely set at 0. When you get in the truck it causes the Toe to go out and that will cause the shake at HWY Speeds. I learned this with my Ranger as well.

Hey so I went down this same exact rabbit hole a few months ago, after getting some new rims (w/ stock bridgestone tires). In my case, buying new michelin tires finally resolved the issue after many iterations of re-balancing at discount tire. I got myself a new alignment afterward for peace of minid and the truck rides great now.

Things you should try to cross off, from what i've learned:
Alignment
Tire pressure
Faulty tire
Deformed wheel (seems to be unlikely w/ new wheels)
Asking them to balance again using Road Force Balancing machine
Asking them to re-seat the tire on the wheel with 180deg rotation
Going somewhere else to get it balanced
Checking that wheel lugs are tightened evenly in star pattern

lastly, the bigger the tire, the more shakiness at higher speeds you will have to accept and tolerate due to the inherent difficulty of perfectly balancing larger tires... BUT in no way should the truck feel uncomfortably wobbly. You will figure this out my friend, I believe in you

the most important thing I learned from my experience of climbing the mountain of solving this... it's very very most likely a tire/wheel issue!!! Make sure before replacing other mechanical parts...

Would you be able to put your stock tire/wheels back on to see if the shake is still there?

You have three variables at 4 corners.

Determine which corner the problem lies, determine which of those three variables is causing the problem, aftermarket tires, aftermarket wheels, or hubcentric rings.

It won't be easy, you'll have to play with it. But it is fairly simple to chase down.
