Thinking about putting one on but I was wondering how many inches it adds? My garage is kind of a tight fit. I might be able to squeeze in another 2 to 3 inches.

I have a TrailFX 3 inch tube and from the center of the front bumper, it adds about 4-1/2 inches. There may be other options out there though that don't stick out as far. Hopefully someone else with a different model replies.

Did you have to modify the park sensors or the center radar unit?

When the Bull hits your bars it will make an impression of the bars in your front end.

Thanks for checking. Might be doable for me.

Exactly...they look cool until you touch anything with them...they'll fold right up against your grill because they're only attached by two points down low...you want an ARB bumper for that kind of work...

Are you just looking for a place to mount lights or are you actually looking for front end protection? Most of the products sold as "bull bars" are thin steel bolted to your tow hook mounts; if you hit anything it will fold backwards into your truck and damage the entire front end.

If you want protection but don't want a full steel bumper setup look for grille guards from Setina, Go Rhino's "public safety division" line, or the Ranch Hand guard that has four mounting points.

My father in law has one on his truck and recommended I get one. But yeah I want the protection so I'll look into those.

Lot's of deer around the area I live in. A 225 pound buck will take out the whole front end whether the bull bar is there or not any way.

In AZ bring your deer gutting tools. At least you get to eat the deer that wrecked your front end. But, beware of the areas that were bruised, not tasty. On the deer of course. LOL

Thanks …I always wondered about that. It makes sense that it would fold into the grill ?

Setina will probably be cost prohibitive because the Ranger isn't sold as a public safety vehicle in this country through Ford's fleet program. I don't see Setina listing anything in the most recent catalog they sent us or on their website. They'll make custom mounts but I'm willing to bet is big $. Ironically you can buy them for the Escape.

Ranch Hand does make their Legend series for the Ranger (and it looks pretty awesome)
