Anyone know the thread pitch of these holes in the back of the bed. I just want to install some tie down. The spray in bed liner makes it hard to just test different bolts.

Those look like mounting points for the swing case. Some folks on here will know but you might also check online for the swing case installation guide - it might have that info.

Also, members have used a tap to clean out those threads with good results.

I had to tap all of mine out after getting bed liner. You may want to start with a drill to lightly clear some of the material right up to the threads, then hit it with a tap.

Another question. Is there anywhere in the bed i should avoid putting screws through?

If you’re planning on adding tie downs in places where there are no tie-down locations, or looking to mount things to the bed wall, i’s not a good idea - the bed walls are thin and others have tried it with terrible results. Stick to tie down locations, which are rated for 600 lbs or so.

Im not trying to mount anything heavy just something like this. Im worried about puncturing something or tearing a wire on the back side
