My Ranger will be used as a work truck, so I will add a bed rack system (Yakima or Thule) and a tool storage system (Decked). I've also included some OEM accessories at time of order, including: hood protector, window deflectors, door sill plates, molded mud flaps, and bed mat.

Have we ever determined if you go without the fx4 appearance can you still take off the guard and have the skid plate look? Sorry if this is a repeated question I tried finding the question in the forums and couldnt find anything. Thank you!

I’m not sure this totally answers your question but a few of us have plastidipped our front valence or applied Line-X. There actually is a skid plate on the non-FX4 but it’s not nearly as beefy as the FX4. Here are some pics of mine plastidipped. There is not a piece you can remove permanently.
