Blizzard-Ice Storm January 23-26, 2026

We're having a nice Monsoon storm roll in with high winds, thunder & lightning. This is what our typical Monsoon season use to be like sunny mornings and storms just about every afternoon but those disappeared several years ago. This small cloud is just hovering over us and has been dumping on us for over an hour now. Much welcomed to help fill our aquifers seeing as Lake Mead is very low.

Mel @Ranger Mel you had asked about flash flooding. The roads are definitely flooded here now as well as our side lots.

It's kind of hard to see but the side of the roads are flooded because they're pitched.

I always think of those gully washers in the dry creek beds that will kill a person.

I think Canada should be taxed with a smoke tax for polluting us with smoke and burning poutine fumes destroying the environment.

Just add another tariff.

Hope I can get wildfire smoke reparations that go back to the last couple times . Up in Canada they get free Healthcare and don't have to worry about long term health issues like we do . I'll send him another note.

lol Maybe you can get in on the reparations from California too. IIRC they're trying to give away free money there.

By the time you see a Dr up there you'll already have had lung cancer. My neighbor up in Goodyear was from CA and I heard all the stories about the "free healthcare" from him. There's a reason why so many come here for major work/surgeries. Not saying it's terrible and ours certainly isn't all that great either.

I want reparations from Canada, Washington and Oregon then!! I don't want their smoke. We can produce enough of our own in Idaho!
